As Hainan’s largest city and capital, Haikou truly is the cultural and historical center of the province. This tour will take you to visit some of Hainan’s key cultural relics and most important historical sites such as the Five Officials’ Temple, the Tomb of Hairui and the Hainan Provincial Museum. The two first sites were built to honor popular public figures who were banished to Hainan centuries ago for standing up to the emperor. The last one contains countless treasures from Hainan’s past, with various collections of artifacts relating the history of this charming and culturally rich island.
