Sanya City is a tropical international tourist city which is situated in the southernmost part of Hainan Island, covers a total area of 1887 km and has a population of 372,000.

Nanshan Boudhism Center
The 108-meter-high statue of "South-Sea Guanyin" is a "world level" Buddhism project in Nanshan cultural Tourism District.
Luhuitou Park
The name of the park was originated from a legend of the Li minority. It is said that a young Li hunter traced after an Eldi's deer from the Wuzhishan Mountain to the cliff.
The Taoist Fairy Caves
This tourist attraction is composed of Small Fairy Cave, Turtle Mountain, and Yanzhou Gulf and is regarded as one of the wonders of South China. The matchless and awe-inspiring Zhu Yan Fairy Cave is full of strange cliffs and grotesque rock.
Dadonghai Tourist Resort
The Dadonghai Tourist Resort is located at the down town area of Sanya City. The crescent shape beach is flat and the sea water there is clean. In winter, the water temperature is between 18 and 23 degree Celsius. It is one of the best winter resorts and one of the best places for diving, swimming and sunbath. It is elected on of the "40 Best" tourist attraction in China. Dadonghai is in the southeast downtown, 3 km from Sanya downtown. Here wind blows soft and the sea lies quiet, the water is clear. The weather is mild with moderate sunshine. Along the coast stand hotels of diversified styles.
Yalong Bay National Resort
Yalong Bay is situated 28 km from Sanya City and has the shape of a crescent. The beach is about 7 km long. The water in the bay is so clean that the visibility there reaches 7.9 metres. Apart from the bright sunshine, the clean water, the fine sand and the flat beach, Jinmu Cape and Yalong Cape are excellent places for rock-climbing in the bay. The coral reef in the bay makes it one of the favourite places for diving. In the resort, there is a central Square, a sea shell museum, a butterfly museum, a tennis club, a golf course and several luxurious hotels.
Nanshan Buddism & Cultural Tourism Zone
Nanshan is a very special place, blessed not only by its idyllic location, but also enjoying an honoured position in the myths and folklore of Chinese culture. 40 km to the down town area of Sanya City, there locates the Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone. It is not only the largest of the kind in Hainan, but also one of the largest cultural tourism zones in China. The park is divided into 3 theme parks: the Buddhism Cultural Park, the Park of Felicity and Longevity, and the Park of Culture and Social Customs. The only " Pure Land " in the tropical region in China - Nanshan Buddhism Temple is the "Forest by the Sea" in this southern-most part of China. The 354 foot statue "Avalokitevara", the focus and soul of Nanshan Buddhist Monestary and Park, is the Buddha of Century, bestowing wisdom and peace.
